Komárovský rybník

Komárovský rybník is the second largest lake in the Český ráj region. It was created as a large fish pond sometime in the late Middle Ages.
Komárovský is probably the most attractive of the larger ponds, with sandstone rocks on two sides. It is also used for swimming as it has a sandy bottom so warms up quickly in summer. There are two campsites on its shores, and a couple of attractive short trails near Nová Ves village.
