Sobotka is an attractive historic town close to Jičín, on the edge of the Český ráj region. It is most notable for its fine examples of folk architecture (timbered buildings) dating from the 16th to 19th centuries.

Just north of Sobotka is the 17th century hunting lodge/chateau of Humprecht.
