Mužský village is located on the Příhrazské sandstone plateau just below the volcanic hill and viewpoint. Like the similar village of Vesec u Sobotky, Mužský is a heritage protected site, representing some of the best preserved folk architecture (timbered buildings) in the region. The village dates from the 14th century (when the surrounding castles in the sandstone rocks were constructed).
